The 100% Ibérico Bellota Shoulder Ham from Fisan overflows with intense flavour and the freshness of the meadows.
Its intense colour and aroma also transport us right back to the natural cellar where the shoulder hams have been resting during more than three and a half years, ready to delight the most expert of palates with its absolutely perfect touch of salt.
Compared to other Europenas hams, Spanish Jamón has a more uniform texture, more intense flavour and is usually less moist because of the long curing stage.
This is especially true of hams from acorn-fed Ibérico Bellota pigs.
Paleta vs Jamón (Shoulder Ham vs Ham):
The Paleta comes from the front legs or the shoulder of the pig, while the Jamón comes from the hind legs, or the hams. The location is important because it contributes to other differences in each of the pieces, from weight to fat content.
Looking at the meat, the Ibérico Ham is darker. Compared to the Paleta Ibérica, the Iberico Ham is less boney and has a higher yield of meat. Due to the long creation process, the Jamón is the more expensive of the two.
Both Fisan, "Paleta" and "Jamón", are "Bellota" Acorn-fed "100% Ibéricos" (Iberian breed), the highest quality, a true delicacy.
Use: Already hand carved by professionals and plated ready to serve as a gourmet appetizer or charcuterie board component. Use it on sandwiches or paninis for a rich and savory flavour, can be added to salads or pairing with cheese and fruit for a tasty snack.
Used as a topping for pizzas or flatbreads. Cooking into dishes such as pasta risotto, or omelets for a bust of flavour.
Enjoyed on its own (by hand) as a delicious treat.
*It's recommended to remove from the refrigerator and open the package after a few minutes (10'), let it breathe and enjoy it at room temperature..

Storage: Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and warm surfaces. Once opened, refrigerate and consume within a few days.
