Love meatballs? You’ll love this flavourful, easy meatball recipe that uses our La Madia Regale Pesto sauce in the meatballs, topped with melted mozzarella!
Serve with your fav pasta or as a burger!
Ingredients:
- 300g lean minced beef
- 1 tablespoon Oro Bailén Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 8 heaped teaspoons La Madia Regale Pesto alla Genovese Sauce
- 350g tomato sauce
- 1 x 125g ball of mozzarella, sliced
- 4 soft burger buns, split into 2 halves
Directions:
- Use your clean hands to scrunch the minced beef with the pesto.
- Split into 12 pieces and, with wet hands, roll into balls.
- Brown the balls all over in a non-stick frying pan on a high heat with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, shaking the pan regularly.
- Once the balls are golden, pour in the tomato sauce.
- Bring to the boil, lay mozzarella over the balls, pop the lid on and leave to thicken for 5 minutes on a medium heat.
- Meanwhile, toast your buns in a toaster or large dry non-stick frying pan.
- Spoon the meatballs onto the buns with a little sauce, serving the rest on the side for dunking.
